HCI BOOSTER CONCEPT

The new HCI booster concept aims to reduce heat loss in district heating networks by installing a water-water isobutane heat pump near the district with the highest required temperature.

This boost in the supply temperature will reduce the overall heat loss in the rest of the district heating network and increase the efficiency of the district heating plant.

Our calculations indicate significant cost savings of up to 1.3 million DKK for a 10 MW district heating network. Less than three years payback time.
